Artwork story: Batik has been practiced at Ernabella Arts Inc. since 1971. Each work is hand drawn using hot wax applied with a combination of a traditional tjanting, sticks and brushes. Textiles produced include the magnificent large "raiki wara" long cloths, scarves and evening wraps. Ernabella batik is held by museums and private collectors throughout Australia and internationally.
