Or simply curious — a valuation for general interest or market advice is equally welcome. The enquiry form also lists every formal type we prepare (Insurance replacement, Private treaty sale, Sale by public auction, and more).
The cost depends on the type of valuation required and the time it takes. A base rate of $350 + GST per hour applies. Many valuations, especially for single works, can be completed at this minimum rate. The more information and images the owner can provide, the more cost-efficient the process is.
Valuations for insurance replacement, private treaty sale, sale by public auction, divorce settlement, estate division and probate each require a different approach. Valuations for superannuation assets, property settlements and cultural gifts are the most complex and take the greatest time — in the case of Cultural Gifts Program donations, two valuations are required on official Department of the Arts forms.
