- Artwork story
- This is a painting of country Beerbee knows well from his days working as a stockman. The dark hill on the right hand side of the painting is called Willrlbolliny. The Duncan Highway and Nine Mile community lie behind the hill. This area is about thirty kilometres east of Kununurra, north east of Warmun. The grey area cascading between the hills is Darloo Darloo Spring. The spring feeds into the Ord River. Red Butte Hill lies to the left of the Ord River - and is painted as the brown rounded hill on the left hand side of the painting. The area at the bottom of the painting depicts the Ord River flood plain. Old Texas Station is located out of the painting to the right. Beerbee says he used to come through this way to have Dinner Camp when he was mustering cattle from Rosewood station to the Port of Wyndham.
