- Artwork story
- 3 brothers from The Kurrupuwu family left Wariyu homelands and travelled by canoe to 17 Mile Creek. They left the canoe there and then they walked up to Maxwell Creek that's Yapalika. And they found a running stream there and they called it Pungkulupi. That's that waterhole that is now our homeland.
They left their old homeland because there was no water anymore and there was too many family there.
Some Puruntatamerri went to Timarranapi. My grandfather was one of those 3 men with his 2 brothers. They are the ones that went to Pungkulupi and made it their homeland.
