- Artwork story
- This painting is a dreamtime story for the Jampitjimpa, Nampitjimpa, Jangala and Nangala skin groups.
This dreaming tells of Aboriginal women heading into the bush in search of tucker.
The women collect beans to eat and dried beans from the ground to grind. They carry what they collect in coolamons to take home for their families.
The straight lines depict the trees; the U-shapes represent the coolamons filled with seed. The long wavy lines are the travel path, which was taken in this case the journey, was a long one. This dreaming occurred at a small campsite in Puyurluyu near the granites mine of the Northern Territory.
