Artwork story: Jimmy Nerrimah, also known as Mawukura, was a distinguished Aboriginal artist from the Walmajarri group. Born around the mid-1920s, Nerrimah began painting relatively late in life, starting in the early 1990s. His art was heavily influenced by his intimate knowledge of his land and its waterholes, a theme prominently featured in his work.
