Artwork story
This painting depicts designs associated with the rockhole and soakage water site of Marrapinti, west of the Pollock Hills in Western Australia. The lines represent the rocky outcrops and sandhills surrounding the site. A group of women gathered at Marrapinti to perform the dances and sing the songs associated with the area. They later travelled east passing through Ngaminya and Kiwirrkura.
