Artwork story: This is a story from Thomas's country around Warmun. ' In the old days, when there was no motor car, the people walked everywhere, long way. One waringarrim (big group) of people walked from Doon Doon camp to Greenvale Station. When they made it to Greenvale Station they found one Miriwoong woman missing. That woman was sittng in a cave at Jidiny near Jack Yard. That place was halfway between Doon Doon and Greenvale. That woman was covered in sores and didn't want people to see. The old people went back and found that woman. They found 'em bush medicine to fix 'im up. Some red one and some other stuff. They grind that dry one, that red one and sprinkle 'im over them sores. They dry 'im up good.' The Miriwoong woman was from country around Kununurra. This story located where this type of bush medicine can be found. The 'red one' Thomas refers to is galiwin, or blood wood sap. It is a natural antiseptic. It is still used as a bush treatment today.
