In Violet Valley (old Station) Doomboonj (owl) bin go inside la cave. Water snake (Goorlabal bin drown em all da people. They bin asked for witch doctor (bush black fella) to make them better. But they couldn't because of the Doomboonj. The blue colour near him represents rain starting a big flood. On the old Station at Violet Valley is this place where Doomboonj (the owl) was upset with the dreamtime old people. The owl went inside the cave at this place to talk with Goorlabal and to tell him to start a flood and drown the people. The blue along the top of the canvas represents Goorlabal and the brown is the cave that
Doomboonj went in to talk with the snake. The water started to flood, and the people were frightened for their lives. The people asked for the witch doctor to make them safe, to try and talk with the water snake for them before the flood drowned everyone. The flood waters starting to build up (shown in blue) can be seen coming from near the cave where Doomboonj was.
