Artwork story
Ringerrin Country is shown in the top third of the painting. There are three hills in this Country and they three young men who have been smoked by the old man in the cave at the bottom of the painting. The old man doesn’t want these young men to walk through Domerin Country where that big rock is. You can see this big rock in the middle of the painting. The young men must wait
to be taken to this Country by the old man when they are older. They must walk around this Country to get to the old man. They can walk along the sides of the painting. Madigan says that all people should be welcomed into this Country by the people for that Country, regardless of the colour of their skin. They should not just go there by themselves.
