- ''When we go fishing or go out bush, we see the cockies loaded in the trees. You can hear them singing. When we have a dinner camp at the bottom of the tree, the cocky boy, he be singing out all the time. If you be sleeping and resting in the bush and someone is out looking for you, the cocky, they sing out and wake you up in time so that you will meet up. That cocky is a good one. The white one is called ngayilanji (corella) and ngamarrinj is the yellow one (sulphur-crested cockatoo). That black one is called derran.
