This is the sacred waterhole of Julunggul, the Great Python in Gunewoberdjin, country belonging to the artist’s mother’s clan group. Caterpillars depicted down the central line are the clans totem. The ceremonial ‘boss-man’ is depicted on the lower left with ceremonial designs painted
on his body. Various animals including two rock wallabies bari bari are shown and the unusual shapes depict the contours and rocky outcrops in the country.
