- The husband of renowned Utopia artist Gloria Petyarr(e), Ronnie began painting in 1989 and became known for strong ceremonial men’s designs. This work, Kangaroo Dreaming, depicts a sacred site associated with the kangaroo at Woola Downs Station, marked by concentric roundels symbolising ceremonial grounds. The surrounding motifs—tracks of kangaroo and ancestral men—encode the ritual dance, song, and law that sustain hunting practices and cultural continuity.
