In 1999, Adrian Newstead accompanied the Warlpiri artist, song man, and ceremonial leader Jimmy Robertson Tjampitjinpa to Paris where he participated in the conference at the United Nations which led to the ratification of the United Nations Charter on Indigenous People.

During this visit, the musician and artist, Morteza Esmali, drew together a group of international performers who accompanied Jimmy on the main stage in front of 5000 people at a major music festival. Years later, Morteza and Adrian visited Lajamanu, where they arranged to record and film more than 50 men and women as they sang and danced through the day and into the evening.
